Henrietta was the village stray and everyone loved her.
My brother was studying to become a doctor and used to let her in through the back window while he
was studying. She gradually became domesticated and lorded it around our house. She would follow
Papa everywhere...even when he went for a walk. I hope she is still following him now in
heaven..Unfortunately she was run over in our street when she was with my dad and he took it very
badly. He loved her to bits ....Well, we all did..Henrietta ..u take good care of papa and my mark
please !!!!

A Peek Into Heaven

Just one little peek into heaven,
Is all I'm asking for today.
I just want to know how she's doing,
And heaven seems so far away.
Is she playing on the clouds with angels?
Is she laughing and running today?
Does she miss me?
I guess only she knows.
Oh why does heaven seem so far away?
If you just let me look for a moment,
To catch a glimpse of her sweet smiling face,
I promise I won't try to take her,
I know, she's in a better place.

My Mom doesn't know I'm watching her
but I'm watching her just the same.
And I hear each tear fall on her face
at the mention of my name.
She says it sounds like music to her ears
and be heard over a crowd.

when my name is said aloud.
I watch her stumble through each day
as she wishes the day would end.
And I hear each tear fall on her face
as she talks of me with her friends.
But there are few who truly understand.
Oh this I've heard her proclaim.

Will my Mom ever be the same?
I know that her smile can light up a sky,
But I don't see that smile today.
Oh, but I hear each tear fall on her face,
her blue skies have turned to grey.
Oh I send to her my warmest hug
with the rays of the morning sun.
Then I won't hear a tear fall on her face,
for I shall erase them one by one.
Yes, my Mom doesn't know I'm watching her,
